I hate you!!

"I hate you", said me
For extremities is what I love
And my hate is like none other
As though it was this moment of serendipity
When my blinded eyes could see none but you
Under the abode of my temple
Lay my soul in that cradle of thy sleeve.

Dasvidaniya - not the wish list :)

As usual, these strange thoughts keep flashing across in my mind, may be in everyone's mind and I thought I would blog it down sometime...dint know how :)

Thanks Banjo for the game....I definitely need to play this now!!

Rules of the game : List down 10 random things about yourself (that many do not know) and then tag 5 more people who have to do the same.
I wouldn't be tagging anyone..for I am a lazy bee and second, I do not know how to tag :(

So lets go....10 random things about me :

1) I love watching movies alone. No one can disturb you. You can cry happily and there's no one to ask you what in the scene made you cry :)

2) I love watching myself in the mirror...atleast there's someone to appreciate my beauty!!

3) I love giving beautiful surprises....I do it often....and being surprised in a similar way...which usually doesn't happen

4) I usually love all things that are blue...dark blue...it is mystical, it is calm, it is peaceful, it is cool, it is romantic, it is dynamic, it is powerful......

5) I love being with myself...still being around with hundred others....now how does that happen...ah!! let that be to myself!!

6) I do not like to crib and neither do I like people who crib...somehow I feel such people radiate negative energies.

7) I love speed....have driven an Alto with the speed of 150km/hr....whoops!!! poor thing....the car doesn't go beyond 155 :(

8) I hate to text...thats the reason, I fail to reply to my frnds msgs, hardly chat with frnds, and seldom blog....I feel either call or best would be, just meet up. Nothing can take the place of a face to face chat. Even if you dont speak, you still can say a thousand words!

9) I love to fight and then patch up....it makes you feel closer!

10) Finally, I also loved 7th Feb, 2009....met an old, long, lost, sweet school friend....and had a gala time...Awesome Weekend :)

I can go on and on....but only 10 things for now!!! :)

Dance Dance Dance...

Dance...an expression of the mind, the heart and the soul. An art-form which can liberate you of all your negative energies and radiate all the positives....walk you through the forbidden realms of the inner-self...a pristine form of magic and the highest form of creativity.A reflection of the exquisite beauty within.

"Let me dance to life;
My spirit and soul divine
Rushes of my blood
The flow of my thoughts
Streaming through my mind
Let me dance to life"

It is a form of communication that brings out the innermost feelings and at the same time pervades all aspects of life and bring colour and joy.

Western dance is a part of this global language and its roots run wide and deep. There are many western dance styles like Ballet, Salsa, Rumba, Samba, Belley Dancing, Cha cha cha, Jazz, Hip hop, Jive etc

Ballet serves as a backbone for many other styles of dance, as many other dance genres are based on ballet. Ballet is based on techniques that have been developed over centuries. Ballet uses music and dance to tell stories. Ballet dancers have the ability to transport an audience to another world.

Belly dance is a unique form of dance characterized by sharp, rolling movements of the hips and abdomen. The true origins of belly dancing are debated among enthusiasts.

Jazz is a fun dance style that relies heavily on originality and improvisation. Many jazz dancers mix different styles into their dancing, incorporating their own expression. Jazz dancing often uses bold, dramatic body movements, including body isolations and contractions.

Latin dance is a fast-paced, often sensual, partner dance characterized by sexy hip movements. However, hip movements are not intentional in any of the Latin dances. The hip motion is a natural consequence of changing weight from one foot to the other.

"Let me dance you to life
Hold me and I'll be yours
The touch of your hands
The intricacy of my movements
The orchestrate playing to the tunes of the Waltz
Fingers entangled in yours...
Swaying away...
Let me dance you to life"

In India, dance ranges from the classical form of dancing like Kathak, Bharatnatyam, Kuchipuddi, Oddissi to various others like free-stlye bollywood dances.

And in India, dance is considered to be divine in origin. The cosmic dance of Lord Shiva(Nataraj), Tandava is believed to encompass creation, preservation and destruction. The dance is a pictorial allegory of the five principle manifestations of eternal energy — creation, destruction, preservation, salvation, and illusion. The dance of Shiva also represents his five activities: 'Shrishti' (creation, evolution); 'Sthiti' (preservation, support); 'Samhara' (destruction, evolution); 'Tirobhava' (illusion); and 'Anugraha' (release, emancipation, grace). The term "Nataraj" means "King of Dancers" (Sanskrit nata = dance; raja = king).

The dances of Kali, the dark and fierce Goddess of destruction, are very significant. She danced herself into a frenzy until she realized she almost danced Shiva to death.

Krishna is one of the most popular dancing divinites of the Hindus.Rasalila is the traditional dance custom of Krishna with the Radha and the Gopis. The term, `rasa` means emotion or performance and `lila` is a concept from Hinduism, which roughly translates to `play or lila of the dance or rasa`. Thus, Rasa Dance is known as the Dance of Divine Love.

Indian dance is very sensous but the experience of ananda(bliss) it evokes is spiritual. Rasa(mood or flavour) as the cause of ananda(bliss) is considered fundamental essence of beauty and harmony in Indian aesthetics. Vbhava(cause of emotion), anubhava(effect of emotion) and sanchari bhava(subordinate emotions) consitute the state of rasa. These in their respective order change the sthayi bhava (primary emotion) into rasa or bliss. All dance forms are thus structured around the nine rasas or emotions, hasya(happiness), krodha(anger), bhibasta(disgust), bhaya(fear), shoka (sorrow), viram(courage), karuna (compassion), adbhuta(wonder) and shanta (serenity). All dance forms follow the same hand gesture or hasta mudras for each of these rasas.

"Let me dance you to life
Look deep into my eyes
Breaths weaving the sound of music
Take me high onto the sky
Walk me to the stair-way of the moon
Where the angels sing for thee
And the Gods shower the petals of bliss
When we surrender ourselves
In the sublime beauty of the night
Let me dance you to life"

I am crazily in love with dance....but unfornately, I have never been able to learn any of the dance forms. I wish, sometime, I get the opportunity to learn a few of the dance forms and attain this highest form of pleasure :)
